Desmond Brown, Marcus Scott V and Simon Steele attended the 2011 Savannah State University basketball camp June 13-17. According to All-Stars founder Marcus Scott, the camp provided fundamental and individual instructions suited to each camper. The players used the new skills they learned to develop teamwork. They also had the opportunity to hear keynote speakers provide motivational speeches to the audience, Scott said.
The Scott’s All-Stars will host a YMCA camp June 27-30. Camp hours are 9 a.m.-11 a.m. for children ages 5-8 and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for ages 9-14. The cost is $30.
Scott said he is thankful to the organizations sponsoring Scott’s All-Stars. They are Chatham Eye Associates, PC; YMCA in Hinesville; Comprehensive OB/GYN Health; Hi-Fidelity Civic Club; Phillip Pediatrics; Canoochee EMC; CH2MHill OMI; House of Jacqui Inc.; Dominos Pizza in Hinesville; Baldinos in Hinesville; Shane’s Rib Shack in Hinesville; Coca Cola of Savannah; Geo Vista Credit Union; Cosmopolitan Club; and The Heritage Bank.
