Richmond Hill Soccer Club Academy set
Free tryouts for the Richmond Hill Soccer Club academy and select teams will be May 27-29 and June 3-5 at Devaul Henderson Park, Highway 144E in Richmond Hill. Tryouts for ages U8-U13 will be Tuesday-Thursday, May 27-29. Tryouts for U14-U19 will be Tuesday-Thursday, June 3-5. Registration starts at 6 p.m., and tryouts will be 6:30-8 p.m. Registration forms and more information are at www.richmondhillsc.com.

Savannah Mile Run planned for Saturday
The eighth annual Savannah Mile Run is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at Forsyth Park.
The 1-mile, all-out run begins on the south side of the park, continues down Drayton Street, finishing on Broughton Street. This race attracts all levels of participants, from children to experienced runners. The Savannah Mile will include five heats and feature a fun-run family heat and five age-group heats.
All proceeds go to The 200 Club, which provides financial and educational assistance to the families of police and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty. First responders and military get complimentary entry.

Registration open for Safe Kids Triathlon
The second annual Safe Kids Savannah Youth Triathlon will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in and around the Chatham County Aquatic Center and Lake Mayer in Savannah.
Registration is open for the swim, bike and run event that will be geared toward youth ages 7-15. To register, go to www.runsignup.com and click on the “Race” tab at the top of the page.
