The Long County High School football/competition cheerleading squad recently held a car-wash fundraiser at the Altamaha Federal Credit Union in Ludowici.
Head coach Rachel Wilkes said that the money raised will go toward entry fees to competitions and buying materials for making the banners that the football team runs through when they come on to the field for games.
Wilkes said that this is the first year that the school has had a cheerleading competition team.
