Vidalia High School’s state-ranked boys and girls basketball teams swept visiting Long County in a Region 2-AA doubleheader Tuesday.
In the boys game, No. 5 Vidalia (18-1) defeated the Blue Tide 65-34.
In the girls contest, the No. 4 Lady Indians (17-0) ran past winless Long County 74-28.
Long County is at home tonight against Jeff Davis. The Yellow Jackets (3-11 overall, 1-8 region) are winless in 10 games against the Blue Tide. The Lady Jackets are 11-6 and 7-4 in Region 2-AA.
Tipoff of the girls contest is at 6 p.m. The boys game follows.
Saturday, Bradwell Institute comes to town. The Tigers are 2-12. The Lady Tigers are 15-0 and ranked No. 7 in Class AAAAAA. Tipoff for the girls game is 6 p.m. The boys game follows.
