Former Liberty County basketball star Jordan McRae was officially reinstated to the University of Tennessee’s men’s basketball team this week.

Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl announced McRae’s reinstatement Monday and said the freshman may now take part in all team activities.

McRae was not allowed, however, to travel with the Volunteers to a game at Kentucky Tuesday night. He will travel with the team in the future.

McRae missed five games after being suspended for allegedly violating team conduct rules by using inappropriate language during a bus trip to play at Connecticut on Jan. 22.

Reports posted on govolsextra.com said team donors were on the bus and witnessed an argument between McRae and a teammate.

McRae has played in nine games, averaging 5.7 minutes and 2 points per game, according to the team website.
