The Long County soccer program has achieved much in its short history.
This week, the program attains another first, as both the boys and girls will host first-round playoff games on Thursday and Friday.
Thursday, the Blue Tide will take on Dublin at 5 p.m. The Fighting Irish bring a 9-4-1 record, while Long County is 14-1. The Blue Tide are also ranked No. 5 in the state by Eurosportscoreboard.com.
Friday, the Lady Tide take on Screven County. The Lady Gamecocks finished the regular season with a 12-4 record. Long County closed out at 12-3 and No. 8 state ranking.
Both games start at 5 p.m. and are being conducted by the Georgia High School Association so the only passes accepted are GHSA passes. Admission will be $7.
