Long County placed eight players on the recently announced 2-AA All-Region basketball teams.
Sophomore Elexxus Wrighton was named for the second year to the 2-AA All Region first team. She averaged 11 points a game and 15 rebounds this season.
Other Lady Tide players recognized included junior Katie Estill, who made second team, and sophomore Malaka Elix and junior Mya Howard, who earned honorable mentions.
The Blue Tide had senior Josh Powers make second team. Seniors Clay Strickland and Danaron Anderson and junior Brendon Scott earned honorable mentions.
