Three Long County youths entered the Sept. 20 Fort Stewart Recreation Depart-ment’s NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick Tournament.
The trio did themselves, their parents and their community proud by placing high in their respected divisions.
Joshua Gordon won the 8-9-year-old category of the competition. Gordon punted 32.4 feet, passed 48.3 feet, and kicked 63.3 feet.
Brendon Scott and Donnell Campbell competed in the 10-11-year-old division. Brendon finished second and Donnell finished fifth. Scott punted 35.1 feet, passed 69.4 feet and kicked 67.2 feet, while Campbell punted 34.3 feet, passed 54.8 feet and kicked 22.3 feet.
Gordon advances to the regional competition on Oct. 25 at Fort Stewart. 
The winners at the regional level will advance to the national level, and compete for a chance in the finals of an Atlanta Falcon game this year.
