Friday, during the game against Brantley County, Long County High School recognized seniors on the basketball teams and cheerleading squad.
This year, the boys had no one graduating. The cheerleaders had three seniors and the Lady Tide had seven.
Cheerleaders recognized were Mariana Cisneros, Ashley Middleton, and Stasha Smith.
Ciseros was escorted by her parents, Norma and Leonel Cisneros. This was Ciseros first year on the Blue Tide squad. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a degree in business administration.
Middleton was escorted by her parents, Tina and Jay Middleton. She has been on the cheer squad for four years. After graduation, she plans to attend College of Coastal Georgia to study radiology.
Smith was escorted by her mother, Keisha Young. She has cheered for three years. Upon her graduation she plans on attending Kennesaw State University to major in family and consumer sciences.
Girls on the basketball team recognized were Lillian Belue, Malaka Elix, Trinity Hall, Patra London, Jakayla Porter, Ravae Rose and Elexxus Wrighton.
Belue was escorted by her mother, Stephanie McIntyre, and Glenn Standeford. This was her first year as the Lady Tide manager. After graduation Belue plans to attend Savannah State University and then join the Air Force.
Elix was escorted by her parents, Luciana Elix and Carlos Singleton. She has been on the basketball team for four years. After high school, she plans on going to college, continuing to play basketball, and becoming a psychologist.
Hall was escorted by her parents, Tommie and Calvin Hall. She has played basketball for four years. Her plans include attending Clark Atlanta University and majoring in fashion design while continuing her modeling career.
London was escorted by her father, Patrick London, and grandmother, Lillie London. She has played basketball for four years. After graduating she hopes to open her own hair salon.
Porter was escorted by her parents, Catena and William Porter. She has played basketball for three years. She plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing after graduation.
Rose was escorted by her mother, Tina Rose. She has played basketball for four years. After graduating she plans on enlisting in the Air Force.
Wrighton was escorted by her parents, Toni and Walter Wrighton. She has played basketball for four years. After high school, she plans on attending Valdosta State University to major in nursing.
