Ohio State Buckeye football player Raekwon McMillan was named to the Butkus Award watch list, according to a report on Land-Grant Holy Land.

The former Liberty County High School Panther linebacker had 54 total tackles in his freshman year with the Buckeyes, 6.5 of them for loss. He also posted 2.5 sacks, as well as a pick-6.

McMillan was not a starter last year, but played more snaps at linebacker than starting linebacker Curtis Grant.
The Butkus Award was first given out back in 1985. It is awarded to the top linebackers in high school, collegiate, and pro football.

McMillan won the Butkus Award during his high-school career in 2013.
