Riceboro native DeLisha Milton-Jones has been named an assistant basketball coach with the Syracuse women’s basketball program and will serve as the team's recruiting coordinator beginning July 1, according to the school’s website, cuse.com. Milton-Jones most recently served as head women’s basketball coach at Pepperdine University.

One of the most decorated local athletes in Liberty County history, Milton-Jones was a standout at Bradwell Institute, the University of Florida and in the WNBA. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
