Saturday, Doodles Billiards is hosting a $1,000 added 9-ball buyback tournament.

Featuring some of the best area players, entry is currently between $35 and $65, with a chance to win back your money and more throughout the time you play.

Clayton Anderson, the owner of Doodles since 2003, said that this tournament is the largest pool tournament in the state. Modeled after the Derby City Classic, a 9-ball tournament near Louisville, Kentucky, Anderson hosts a tournament at Doodles once a month for 10 months out of the year, excluding June and December for vacation and holidays.

Starting three years ago, Anderson said his tournaments have grown exponentially, going from averaging 15 people a month, to now up to 75 people per event.

Doodles Billiards is at 105 Gen. Screven Way in Hinesville.
