The Liberty County boys and girls soccer team have selected captains for the season.

These student athletes were chosen based on their athletic capabilities and leadership on and off the field. They have all been accepted to colleges where they will be playing soccer.

Currently, the girls have a 3-4 record for the 2018 season and are coached by Catrina Hicks. The boys are 1-6 and are coached by Justin Scott, who is in his first year coaching at LCHS.

"We are working to build strong soccer programs at LCHS by having the athletes play on traveling teams and begin their conditioning programs in the fall," Scott said.

Panther Daniel Futch and Lady Panther Madison Winn, both goal keepers, have been standouts this year.

Winn, a senior, has been offered a scholarship to play at Brewton Parker College in Mt. Vernon this fall.
