The Liberty County Panthers fell to 7-11 on the season after a sweep at the hands of Savannah Country Day, losing 14-4 and 13-1 Tuesday.

Hornets pitching held the Panthers to eight hits in the twinbill and racked up 19 strikeouts. SCD batters finished the doubleheader with six doubles, a triple and a home run.

Tyler Scott was 5-for-6 with three RBIs, Gabe McKinney was 3-for-5 with three RBIs, Dalton Brown went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Brooks Kleinpeter was 4-for-8 with two RBIs. Garret Lorfano homered and drove in three runs.

The Panthers dropped a 7-1 decision to Long County last Thursday

Liberty County will Towns County on Monday at 5:30 p.m. and host Frederica Academy on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
