Fresh off a fourth-place Region 3-AAA finish, seven Liberty County High School Panther baseball players were recognized and named to the All-Region Team.
Sophomore standout first baseman and pitcher Joe Watkins and seniors Justin Eaton, pitcher, and Chris Arnold, outfielder, were named to the All-Region first team.
Sophomores Matt Desbiens, catcher, and Cameron Harris, centerfielder, made the All-Region second team.
Juniors Eddie Chipple and Cody French received honorable mentions.
“It was an honor for seven of my starting nine to be awarded for their great seasons,” first-
year coach David Samuel said. “Five of the seven are under-classmen, which means my program is looking good for the near future.”
