It was an intense battle between Liberty County High and Americus-Sumter but the Panther boys edged out a 58-52 win to advance to the final four of the state playoffs. The Panthers won the game tonight in their home gym.

It’s only the third time the boys’ basketball program makes the final four.

The semi-final game will be held at 4:45 Saturday at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton. The Panthers opponent has yet to be determined.
