Bradwell Institute’s Jacoby Pasley took home two first-place finishes and a second-place at the MTFXCCGGA Invitational at McEachern High School.
Pasley turned in a time of 20.97 seconds to win the 200-meter dash and won the 400 in 47.33 seconds. He was second in the 100-meter dash at 10.54 seconds.
Bradwell’s 4x400 relay team took third at 3:22.12
Martavius Phillips was fifth in the 400 hurdles at 58.18 seconds, and he was seventh in the 110 hurdles.
For the girls team, the 4x200 relay team placed fifth at 1:44.21 and the 4x100 relay team was sixth at 48.92 seconds.
Twenty-eight teams from across Georgia, but primarily from the metro Atlanta area, took part in the meet.
The Bradwell boys cruised to a win in the Statesboro High Pre-season Invitational, posting 141 points, and the girls team placed fifth with 71 points, just three points behind third-place Vidalia. Vidalia was second in the boys standings with 108 points and May River (S.C.) took the girls team title with 103 points.
The boys also won the Lakeside Early Bird Invitational, earning 142.5 points to host and second-place Lakeside’s 109.5. The girls finished with seventh with 48 points as Lakeside piled up 171.75 points to claim the girls title.
Bradwell, which won the boys’ competition and finished third in the girls at Lowndes’ inaugural Viking Relays, returns to Valdosta on March 18 for the Hiram Johnson seventh annual Underclassmen Invitational and runs March 21 in the L.C. Smith and Winfred Benson Relays in Albany.
