Region Basketball Update

Yesterday in the girls bracket of the Region 2-AAA basketball tournament, Pierce County defeated Liberty County 49-33 and Tattnall County defeated Long County 63-54. Pierce County will take on Tattnall County in the championship game tonight at Tattnall County High School at 7pm. Liberty County and Long County will compete against each other in the third place game in the same location at 4pm.

In the boys bracket of the 2-AAA tournament, Liberty County defeated Appling County 95-75 and Tattnall County defeated Long County 78-66 in the semifinal games. Liberty County will take on Tattnall County in the championship game tonight at 8:30pm and Appling County and Long County will go against each other in the third place game at 5:30pm. Both games are at Tattnall County High School. 

In the girls bracket of the Region 2-AAAAAA tournament, Glynn Academy defeated Bradwell Institute 47-37 and Brunswick defeated Richmond Hill 44-30 in the semifinal games. Bradwell will play Richmond Hill in the third place game at 3:30pm while Glynn Academy will play Brunswick in the region championship game at 6:30pm. Both games are a Richmond Hill High School.

In the boys bracket, Brunswick defeated Glynn Academy 65-61 and Effingham County defeated Richmond Hill 59-47 in the semifinal games. Glynn Academy and Richmond Hill will compete in the third place game at 5pm while Brunswick and Effingham County will play in the championship game at 8pm. Both games are at Richmond Hill.

Bradwell Institute boys basketball team were eliminated in the region play in game against Effingham County this past Monday.
