Bradwell hosted Richmond Hill Tuesday on Olvey Field and despite big saves from goal keepers Christiana Eskridge and Reina Richardson the girls lost, 7-0. The BI girls slip to 3-7 overall and 0-6 in Region 3-AAAAA.
In the boys’ game, Tiger goal keeper Juan Sanchez slapped away shots and the Tiger defense kept the Wildcats from getting second shots on goal. But the Richmond Hill boys managed to knock in two for the 2-0 victory.
“Overall, I think my team played against them well,” Tiger coach Tom Oglesby said. “We had a goal keeping error which cost us a goal, and their second goal happened in the last five minutes because we were pushing numbers forward, trying to get an equalizer.”
The Tigers are 2-7-2 overall and 0-7 in the region. Bradwell plays at Effingham County High School Tuesday, beginning with the girls’ game at 5 p.m.
