Liberty County football standout Richard LeCounte III received his jersey for the Army All-American Bowl in a special ceremony at the Liberty County High School gym on Friday, Dec. 2. He will participate in the game, which takes place on Jan. 7, 2017 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

LeCounte becomes just the second All-American in Liberty County football history, joining current Ohio State Buckeye Raekwon McMillan who played in the 2014 Under Armour All-American Game.

In the ceremony, Liberty County head coach Kirk Warner was honored with the Coaches Plaque for his dedication to LeCounte's success. LeCounte's parents Richard Jr and Erica were also presented the Dream Champions Award by American Family Insurance.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the Sunday edition of the Coastal Courier for a full story on LeCounte's special presentation.
