Christmas is just around the corner and Dwayne Rye continues to lead the Jake Blitz at Cherokee Rose Country Club by capturing two medalist honors this past week, but it was Ronnie Brown who dropped coal in Rye’s pocket on Saturday.

Rye had rounds of 75, 71 to win Wednesday and Sunday’s Blitz, but it was Brown shooting the round of the week on Saturday with a 1-under 70 to grab medalist honors.

Women ruled the points honors with Tammy Ballance, Amy Blanton and Barb Connors grabbing overall points during the week.

Results from the Cherokee Rose Country Club Jake Blitz  is held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.  Sign up times end at 8:30 am on Wednesday and Saturday with start time at 9:00 am. Sign up time ends at 12:30 pm on Sunday with start at 1:00 pm. Golfers are paired into groups and are on a points system. Course members and the public are invited to play.
