The holidays haven’t slowed down the Jake Blitz at Cherokee Rose Country Club and they also haven’t slowed down Dwayne Rye who took medalist honors on Sunday, but he was joined by Daryl Chandler who also captured medalist honors for Wednesday’s blitz.

Rye shot a 1-under 70 to take Sunday honors but Chandler, playing in tougher conditions shot a 76 to win Wednesday’s round.

Point honors for the week went to Jim Niksch and Tom Egner.

Results from the Cherokee Rose Country Club Jake Blitz is held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.  Sign up times end at 8:30 am on Wednesday and Saturday with start time at 9:00 am. Sign up time ends at 12:30 pm on Sunday with start at 1:00 pm. Golfers are paired into groups and are on a points system. Course members and the public are invited to play.
