Long County High School running back Brendon Scott receives his Coastal Courier/Mike Reed Chevrolet Long County Player of the Year trophy from Coastal Courier sportswriter Mike Riddle on Tuesday. In 2014, Scott led Long County with 1,447 rushing yards. He also made the All-Region 2-AA First Team and earned honorable mention on the Class AA All-State team.

The outgoing senior acumulated 2,113 career rushing yards for the Blue Tide scoring 19 career rushing touchdowns.Standing with Scott is Blue Tide offensive coordinator Eric McNair.
