Long County High School running back and quarterback Brendon Scott recently received honorable mention on the Class AA All-State team.
Scott rushed for 1,425 yards, which was 23rd in the state and broke the Blue Tide’s rushing high. He made the All-Region 2-AA team and was selected as the school’s Mike Reed/Coastal Courier Player of the Year.
Brad Stewart of Benedictine Military School was selected as the Class AA offensive player of the year, and Raquan Smith of Macon County was named the defensive player of the year.
