Shrine golf tournament a success

Eighteen teams drove, putted and birdied to benefit the Hinesville/Fort Stewart Shrine Club at its 23rd annual Golf Tournament held on Sept. 13, at Cherokee Rose Country Club and Golf Course.
The tournament raised funds the local Shrine Club needs to assist in local community events and to carry on its mission in aiding children throughout the nation receive medical care they may need regardless of their ability to pay.
All the players received gifts and enjoyed a barbecue dinner served by some of the Shriners wives. The organization extended thanks to the ladies for their support.
Representatives of the local Shrine Club submitted a letter to thank their sponsors and members of the community.
