NORFOLK, Va. - Savannah State University first baseman Charles Sikes has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week, according to a press release on SSU’s athletic web-site. The 2015 Preseason MEAC Player of the Year, Sikes registered a .444 batting average (8-of-18), including four doubles, four runs scored and four RBI's, against the University of Alabama and Long Island University Brooklyn. Defensively, he recorded 39 putouts, without an error.
