Annual Albert Nelson Golf Tournament set
The 29th annual Albert Nelson Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at Taylors Creek Golf Course on Fort Stewart.
The fee for the four-person scramble is $50 per person, including carts, green fees and food.
The sign-up deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Rotary Club to host
fishing tournament
The Hinesville Rotary Club is hosting a red fish and trout fishing tournament Sept. 20.
The captains’ meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Sunbury Crab Company, with the tournament weigh-in held at 3 p.m. the following day.
There will be separate payouts for red fish and trout categories. First place in each category will receive $1,000. Second place receives $500, and third place receives $250.
There also will be a first place trophy given in the female and junior category.
The tournament is seeking anglers and sponsors.

Dual wins for Tide wrestling at area duals
Tide wrestling area champs
The Long County wrestling team celebrates its region championship at Calvary Day School.
The Long County Blue Tide wrestling team made history this past weekend when both the boys and girls teams qualified for the state championship duals meet. The girls won the Division 2 Area 1 championship on Friday, January 10 and the boys won the Region 3-AAA championship on Saturday, January 11.
