‘Hank’ White golf tourney set for Aug. 2
The 10th annual Henry “Hank” White Memorial Golf Tournament will tee off at 9 a.m. Saturday at Cherokee Rose Golf Course in Hinesville.
Tournament fees are $60 per person or $240 for a team of four and pay for a golf cart, green fees and lunch. Mulligans are $5 each and limited to two per person.
Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams. There also will be prizes for the closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt and straightest drive.
A golfer can win a car by hitting a hole-in-one at No. 3 or 13.
Sponsorship opportunities are available and are priced from $100-$500.

Benefit set for Long County baseball team
The second annual Long County Baseball golf tournament will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 23, at Cherokee Rose Golf Course in Hinesville. Sign-up begins at 1 p.m., and tee-off is at 1:30 p.m.
Tournament fees are $60 per person or $240 for team of four. Lunch will be provided.
Cash prizes awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams. There also will be prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, and hole-in-one.

YMCA boxing class open
Registration is open for the YMCA’s new boxing class.
The class is open to children and adults 16 and older. The cost is $20 per month for members and $40 per month for others. The class is designed to develop skills in a fun and safe environment.
The class meets once a week, and payments are due prior to the beginning of the month. Financial assistance is available.
