Swing for re-entry

The Liberty County Prison Re-entry Coalition will host a golf tournament Sunday at Taylors Creek Golf Course on Fort Stewart. The fee is $50 per person or $200 for a four-person team. Mulligans are $5.

The fee includes greens fees, cart, lunch and door prizes. Sponsorships are available. Registration was due earlier.

Special Olympics

Student athletes ranging in age from 8 to 21 will compete May 6 in the annual Liberty-Long County/Fort Stewart Special Olympic Spring Games.
This year’s competition will be at Long-Bell Stadium/Track at Liberty Independent Troop Park at 607 E. Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville. Opening ceremonies begin at 10 a.m.

Soccer camp

Atlantic Calcio Academy and the Hinesville Gators have partnered again for the annual Elite Soccer Camp. It is set for 9 a.m. to noon July 11-14 at James Brown Park and is open to ages 6-17.
The program is to teach American players Italian soccer skills. The program is coached by Gavino Asteghene, the 2013 Georgia Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year and Atlanta Calcio Academy USA director.

Registration includes a dry-fit camp T-shirt. The cost is $150 per player. Campers may also purchase a game ball for $15, which is $30 off the normal retail price. Register online at www.atlanta calcioacademy.com
