Lady Panther athletic standout Cassie Standard finished third at the 2009 National Junior Weightlifting Championships in Foster City, Calif., March 19-22. She competed in the 53 kilogram weight class.

In the snatch she successfully hoisted 51K in the first attempt, 55K in the second but could not complete the 57K lift in her third lift.

In the clean and jerk she lifted 65K. She earned a total of 120 points for the third place finish.
