The Southern Stixx, a traveling baseball team from Long County, won a recent 12U baseball tournament in Rincon.
In the first round of pool play, the Stixx beat Scoutz Green of Statesboro 15-2. In the second round, the Stixx dominated Effingham Roundtripp 11-1.

In the elimination round, the Long County team had a rematch with Roundtripp. This game was more difficult, as the Stixx had to go into extra innings before securing the 4-3 win.

In the championship game, the Stixx knocked off the Glenn County Warriors 5-2 for the first-lace trophy.
