Bradwell Institute will host the Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling “Super Brawl” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24.
Celebrity wrestlers scheduled to appear are Marcus “Buff the Stuff” Bagwell, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner and “The Russian Nightmare” Nikita Koloff.
The event will raise funds for the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes. There are five Youth Homes throughout the state, according to event organizer Rikki Nelson. The Homes provide long-term care for boys and girls between the ages of 6-16 who are neglected or abused. Currently, the Youth
Homes serve more than 150 children providing them with medical and dental care, educational opportunities and recreational and life-skills training.
Homes are located in or near Hahira, Dalton, LaGrange, Swainsboro and Chatsworth, according to georgiasheriffsyouth.org.
The event also will raise money for the Tigers’ athletic programs.
Tickets are available at Baldinos Giant Jersey Subs, the BI school office, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and at the door the day of the event. General-admission price is $10, and ringside seats are $20. Doors open at 7 p.m.
