Swimmer Hyeon Lee competed in the state championships last weekend and was ranked in the top 15 in the state.
She swims for the Liberty Stars swim team at the Liberty County YMCA. The 10-year-old also qualified for the Southern Zone Sectional Swim meet in North Carolina on March 15-16. She will compete in the 200- and 50-meter freestyle, the 50- and 100-meter fly, and the 50- and 100-meter backstroke.
Her state results are:
500m freestyle 16th place
100m freestyle 8th place
100m fly 14th place
50m backstroke 10th place
200m freestyle 13th place
100m backstroke 9th place
50m freestyle 7th place
