Liberty County High School alumnus and current North Carolina State running back Shadrach Thornton was one of 12 Wolfpack players who volunteered in the Russell Wilson Passing Academy on June 23 at Carter-Finlay Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The camp, which was put on by former Wolfpack quarterback and current Seattle Seahawk star Russell Wilson, drew more than 400 children as participants.

The camp has more than 100 workers and volunteers. Wilson recruited current and former players for the camp, which featured 12 current NCSU players.

Last year, Thornton, who is entering his senior season, rushed for 907 yards on 164 attempts, scoring nine touchdowns.
This year, the standout is on several watch lists for the NFL Draft. Thornton and the Wolfpack open the season Sept. 5, hosting Troy.
