Last week the Long County High School baseball team attended a camp at the University of Georgia and, according to head coach Brian Thomas, the team represented the school well.

On July 1, the Blue Tide players worked out with students from Grayson High School and Loganville High School at the Bulldog’s Foley Field. In the afternoon, the Ludowici team lost a tough game, 6-2, to Parkview High School.

Later that day, the Long County players fared better when they faced North Murray High School. With sophomore Luke Golden on the mound, the Tide beat the Mountaineers 3-1 in a defensive battle. Golden only allowed one run and three hits.

On July 2, the Blue Tide hit the field and lost, 8-2, to Duluth High School.
