Tiger track teams continue dominance

Bradwell Institute continued its area track dominance, defeating McIntosh County Academy on Thursday.
The girls took first place in four of the eight events and the boys won six of their 10 events.
Jammie McLemore won the long jump, leaping 31-feet, 6-inches. Crystal Tui won the discus, throwing it 95-feet, 11-inches. Janniequeen Tui hurled the shotput the farthest — 33-feet, 4-inches. Jasmine Johnson won the high jump, clearing 4-feet, 6-inches.
For the boys, Devon Russell outsprinted the competition to win the 100m at 11.20 seconds. Malachi Bell won the mile, finishing in 5-minutes, 22-seconds. Keddrick Brown won the discus, throwing it 116-feet, 8-inches. Deron Jordan threw the shotput the farthest — 45-feet, 1-inch. Larry Henry won the high jump, clearing 6-feet, 4-inches. Gaither won the 200m in 23.09 seconds.
Bradwell’s next meet is at 4 p.m. on Thursday. Brunswick, South Effingham and Claxton are scheduled to come to Hinesville.
