For the first time since 2002, Bradwell Institute’s boys soccer team is competing in the state playoffs.
The Tigers concluded their regular season Tuesday with a 6-0 win over Jenkins.
The Tigers finished second in Region 3-AAAAA, going 11-3.
Camden County won the region crown, finishing 13-1.
BI’s focus turns to their first-round opponent Union Grove (11-5) The game is scheduled for Wednesday, 4:30 p.m. at Lewis Frasier Middle School.
The Wolverines, winners of their last three, average 3.1 goals a game and have allowed an average of 1.9 goals a game.
The Tigers also average 3.1 goals a game but have allowed an average of only .6 goals a game.

Cavs take series opener from Tide

The Long County Blue Tide baseball game into the week knowing they needed to bring their A-game if they were going to beat the Calvary Day Cavaliers. On Tuesday, April 1, they struggled to get much going at the plate as the Cavaliers pulled away late to win the series opener 10-1.
