Bradwell Institute’s baseball team rallied to come from behind to beat Savannah Country Day 10-9 Wednesday.
The non-region game was in Savannah.
Based on stats posted by coaches on Game Changer, the Tigers trailed 7-0 into the fourth inning when the Tigers sparked a nine run rally.
“We hit the ball the way we knew could,” Tiger coach Jeff Polk said. “Hard line-drives.”
Evan Crystal and Robert Rivera both went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Quindarius Watkins and Andrew Howard both went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI each. Steven Harris was 1 for 4 with an RBI. Hunter Hawkins was 2 for 5 with an RBI.
Brennan Long went 2 for 4 with an RBI. And Jordan Lambright had an RBI.
Harris had five putouts, Rivera had four.
Harris pitched the first four innings, giving up 10 hits and 8 runs. O’Brian Nobles pitched two innings, walking two. Javin Tripp pitched an inning and tossed two strikeouts.
Unfortunately, the win came near the end of a 5-17 season. Polk said the Tigers placed fifth in the region, short of a state playoff spot.
A doubleheader with Brunswick was rained out Friday. They are scheduled to play at Brunswick Tuesday.
