Tigers rally past Greenbrier, end losing streak

EVANS — The Bradwell Institute Tigers finished the season on a winning note Friday night.

Bradwell scored the final 20 points of the game, and downed the Greenbrier Wolfpack 20-9.

The win was the first for the Tigers since October 11, 2019 and ended a 30-game losing streak.

Christopher Garrett was 10-of-14 passing for 93 yards, and Tyon Jones was 3-for-6 for 54 yards. Garrett and Jones each threw for a touchdown.

Jones also ran for a touchdown.

Caden Guy had 62 yards and a touchdown on five catches, and Bryant Thomas had three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown.

Freshman Adarian Samples had four receptions for 25 yards, and senior Treshaun Peggis ran 11 times for 31 yards.

For the season, Garrett was 114 of 176 passing for 1,280 yards and seven touchdowns. Marquan Houston threw for 236 yards and two scores and ran for 138 and a touchdown.

Peggis led the Tigers in rushing with 556 yards, and Jones finished as the leading receiver with 550 yards and three touchdowns on 44 catches. Guy had 362 yards and two TDs on 27 receptions, and Thomas had 33 receptions for 387 yards and three touchdowns.
