Tigers ‘sacked’ by Pirates 28-12

Tiger Elijah Leiataua (24) rushed for 68 yards in the loss against Brunswick last Friday night in a 28-12 loss.

The Bradwell Institute Tigers fell to the Brunswick Pirates during a home game this past Friday which was also Homecoming night at Olvey Field. The Pirates won 28-12 dropping the Tigers to 0-6-1 overall.

According to stats posted on maxpreps.com, Tiger quarterback Jahki Newton was 4 of 10 for 41 passing yards with two touchdowns.

Elijah Leiataua rushed for 68 yards on eight carries. Newton had 67 yards in the game. Leiataua had a 20 yard touchdown reception. Kamarion Melvin had a 12 yard TD reception in the loss. Leiataua led the defense in tackles with seven. Caden Guy had five total tackles, Connor Logan had four. Bradwell scored in the first and fourth quarter but missed both point after attempts.
