The Bradwell Institute Tigers will have to rebound from their first two losses of the season.
Following a setback at Calvary Day, the Tigers fell 76-63 to Lowndes in Valdosta on Saturday. The Vikings outscored the Tigers 46-28 in the second half.
Zi’on Thomas led the Tigers with 21 points, while Chris Perry and Jahbarri Felix each had 13 points.
Ar’Tavian Brown poured in 24 points to lead the Vikings and Kaiden Brown scored 19 in the win.
The Tigers suffered their first loss falling 66-56 Thursday at Calvary Day.
Perry topped the Tigers with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Keon Grant scored 12 and Thomas added 10. Perry also dished out five assists.
Demetrius Brown poured in a game-high 20 points, hitting 5 of 8 shots from the floor for the Cavs. Evan Blessett scored 13 points, connecting on 4 of 7 3-point shots. Chol Deng, the Cavs’ 6-foot-8 senior center, added 12 points., Jamari Jenkins chipped in 11 and Jamin Martin scored 10.
The Cavs hit 58% of their two-point shots in the win.
Bradwell, now 7-2, visits Jenkins on Friday and hosts Northside Christian out of St. Petersburg, Florida, on Saturday.
