Tigers sweep season series with Panthers
Thomas dunk
Bradwell's Zi'on Thomas punctuates the Tigers' rally against the Liberty County Panthers on Saturday.

The Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers overcame a dreadful night at the free throw line to ease past the Liberty County Lady Panthers, and the Tigers boys rallied to top a determined Panthers squad Saturday afternoon at the LCHS gym.

Bradwell took the girls game 62-20, despite making just 6 of 31 foul shots. The Lady Tigers’ JaNya Bush was named the DeLisha Milton-Jones player of the game.

The Tigers boys staged a 9-0 run in the third quarter in less than two minutes to erase a seven-point Panthers lead and held on for a 63-52 win. There were five lead changes and three ties in the first half.

Bradwell’s Jaylin Sweat was named the Davion Mitchell player of the game.
