Walker Middle School students burned off some energy Monday at the school’s annual field day competition. This year’s spirit award went to Lydia White’s fourth-grade class. Whitney Scott’s class was the runner-up and Alyson Sikes’ class was the second runner-up.

Students competed in the 100-yard dash, the relay race, the bat race and tug-of-war.

Eight classes participated in field day. Each class received points for the team’s performances and the class with the most points won the spirit award.
