The Fort Stewart Midget Boys (11-12 age division) won the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association District II Championship at Douglas on Feb. 24.
The midget boys stepped onto the court in Douglas ready to play ball.
In the first game, Fort Stewart defeated Douglas 60-40.
The next day, Fort Stewart continued their dominance with a 64-39 win over Wayne County.
Later in the afternoon, Fort Stewart knocked off Liberty County, 63-60, to win the title.
The game came down to the final few seconds and with sheer determination Fort Stewart walked away triumphantly.
Fort Stewart is currently competing in the state tournament in Carrollton. The results were not complete in time for press.
The Fort Stewart Junior Girls finished second in the district and are competing in the state tournament in Effingham County. The results were not complete in time for press.
