Charles Thomson of Hinesville was recently promoted to the rank of private first class at ceremonies held in November at the Georgia Garrison Training Center Command.  Thomson is in finance management for the Fort Stewart-based Army National Guard unit. He is a native of The Bronx, N.Y.
