FORT MEADE, Md. — Ericka D. Holloway of Hinesville was promoted from sergeant first class to master sergeant by Col. Robert P. Wade in a ceremony on March 17 at Fort George G. Meade, Md.
She is currently assigned to the U.S. Army 1st Recruiting Brigade and serves as a senior career counselor. Holloway began her Army career as a small arms repairer in 1991 and has completed two deployments in Iraq since 2003.
Since enlisting, she earned an associate’s degree in liberal arts and a bachelor’s degree in criminology, and is completing a master’s degree in human resource administration.
Holloway’s achievement was celebrated by her mother, brother, two children and fiancé, Richard Walden. Her mother, Lee Tolbert, and daughter live in Hinesville, Holloway’s brother, Robert Tolbert, lives in Chicago.
