Lowe reports for duty
Marine Corps Pfc. Stephen W. Lowe, a 2006 graduate of Bradwell Institute, recently reported for duty with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron One, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Okinawa, Japan.
Lowe joined the Marine Corps in June 2006.

McCallum promoted
Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tremaine C. McCallum, son of Robin M. Adams-Massenberg of Hinesville and Otis W. McCallum of Indianapolis, Ind., recently was promoted to his current rank while serving with Marine Air Control Squadron Four, Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan.
McCallum was promoted based on sustained superior job performance and proficiency in his designated specialty.
He is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence North High School of Indianapolis and joined the Marine Corps in June 2006.

McDaniel arrives for duty
Army Sgt. 1st Class Kory D. McDaniel has arrived for duty in Sterling Heights, Mich.
McDaniel is a recruiter assigned to the Great Lakes Battalion.
He is the son of Isaac Jefferson of Hinesville and Joyce Jefferson of Allenhurst. His wife, Chantell, is the daughter of Aaron and Debora Harris of Prince George, Va.
In 1996, he graduated from Long County High School in Ludowici.

Bacon receives award
Rosalyn K. Bacon, MPH, received the Georgia Dental Public Health Award of Merit during the Georgia Public Health Association's 78th annual meeting and conference Sept. 5-7 at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.
The award is presented to an individual or organization for outstanding services and contributions to the Georgia Dental Public Health Program nationally, regionally, statewide and/or locally.
Bacon received her bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and her master's from the University of Alabama.
She is the director of the Family Health Branch of the Georgia Division of Public Health.

Alvarado graduates
Air Force Airman Janet J. Alvarado has graduated from the Weather Forecaster Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.
The course trains students in the fundamentals of Air Force weather forecasting.
Forecasters are trained in weather observing and analysis, tropical weather analysis and forecasting, weather satellite imagery interpretation, Doppler weather radar operation and computer-generated graphics, interpretation of weather effects on electro-optics weapons systems, and automated weather distribution system operations.
She is the daughter of Edwin and Luz Alvarado of Hinesville.
Alvarado is a 2006 graduate of the Bradwell Institute, Hinesville.

Rice completes basic
Army National Guard Pfc. Natasha M. Rice has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
She is the daughter of Roger Rice of Midway and Wanda F. Richardson of Tar Heel, N.C.
Rice is a 2004 graduate of West Bladen High School, Bladenboro, N.C.
