Marsha Lafayette Aleem has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
The colonel, an information assurance director with 15 years of military service, is assigned to the U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Fla.
She is the sister of Anna L. Rego of Allenhurst and Joseph Lafayette of Adams Run, S.C.
The colonel graduated in 1989 from Baptist Hill High School in Hollywood, S.C., and received a bachelor’s degree in 1993 from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, N.C.  The colonel earned a master’s degree in 2003 from Wayland Baptist University, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dusan transfer


Army Sgt. Eric C. Dusan has arrived for duty at the Army Recruiting Station, in Lapeer, Mich.
The sergeant, a recruiter with seven years of military service, is assigned to the Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion.
He is the son of Mark Dusan of Chicago and the stepson of Teresa Summers of Hinesville.
His wife, Stephanie, is the daughter of Ben Pena of Golconda, Ill., and Vicky Dykes of Hinesville.
Dusan is a 2000 graduate of Savannah Technical College, Hinesville.

Graduations


Junior and Rose Greene of Liberty County announce the graduation of their daughter, Deanne Greene-Booker, PhD, in organization management and her husband, Derrick Booker, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Greene-Booker a senior human resources professional, trainer and personal/professional mentor. She is also a certified professional speaker, has been published and is the founder of Women of Anointed Purpose in Conyers. Her husband is a senior NCO stationed on Fort Stewart, approaching his 20 year service milestone.
