Navy Seaman Diana J. McFadden, daughter of Linda J. McFadden of Hinesville, was recently promoted to her current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
McFadden is a 2005 graduate of Triton High School of Dunn, N. C.

Kenya Uganda Wicks has graduated from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Columbus, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Wicks is the sister of Tina Askew of Hinesville, and granddaughter of Alice Wicks of Louisville, Ky.
Jason R. Tomson
Jason R. Tomson, son of Robert J. Tomson and stepson of Sharon L. Schisler of Midway, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. He completed U.S. Navy School in Pensacola Fla. Tomson is a 2008 graduate of Liberty County High School in Hinesville.
