Master Sgt. Mandy Williams, 335th Training Squadron, is the Air Force’s 2008 Finance Educator of the Year.
Williams’ accomplishments include leading 15 instructors and 738 students to a 99 percent graduation rate and teaching 502 hours of seven-level courses to 72 students for a 93 percent average.
“It was an honor just to be nominated by my supervisor for the award,” she said. “I wouldn’t be receiving this award if it weren’t for the amazing people I work with,”
Williams, who has been at Keesler for two and a half years and in the Air Force for 17, said her main source of inspiration are airmen who want to learn.
“I am motivated by the enthusiasm of the airmen who are eager to learn and excel in our Air Force. I want to ensure they are provided the best training to accomplish the mission,” Williams said.
Prior to Keesler, Williams completed tours in Iceland, England and the Middle East. She is a 1991 graduate of Bradwell Institute and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Price of Hinesville.
